Just wanted to say that the wife and I had a wonderful time when we got there last night. That was her first show/cruise night experience and to be honest she enjoyed it more than I thought she would. She liked it when Niko (I think it was) pulled his car beside mine when space opened up at the end and she kept talking about the old Mercedes and how she'd love to have it in different colours - her final decision was a light pearl/champagne.

I'll be honest, not knowing the area I got lost almost immediately when filing out at the end of the night. I managed to catch up to Loather (again, I think) just before he turned into the Timmies then I continued to be lost heading home until I figured out where I was. Maybe I should fix the power outlet so I can run my GPS LOL.

I hope to make it out another night at some point, maybe see if I can get my buddies to come in their cars too (low mileage fox body mustang GT convertible & 79 Mini) if I can talk them into it.

Sorry I'm absolutely terrible with names guys. Don't be too pissed if I can't remember your name the next time we meet up. I promise I will remember the cars though

fyi....it's cancelled for this week:

"Hi Everyone!

In consultation with a number of parties involved with the cruise nights, and getting the full picture from our friendly Marine weatherman, it has been decided to cancel Thursday's cruise night. This is due to a number of factors, one of which is the temperatures. The Humidex for tomorrow will be around 41C which in the real temp measurement is 110F. This for the majority of cruisers, food concession people, and the band will be intolerable to spend 4-5 hours working in. To say nothing of what Mother Nature may well drop on us in the way of rain and sudden storms - a 60% probability is called for.

So if you would kindly let as many of your members and/or associates know that it is canceled, we would be very grateful.

See you all next week July 25th for our "Surfs Up" Hawaiian dress-up night. Fingers Crossed!

Our Rockin the Waterfront web site has been notified and the cancelation notice is being posted on the cruise date.

Not me... camber bolts hopefully here tonight so I have to try and button up the rest of the strut re-install. I have the new ones put together and hanging loosely in the car but that's where I called it quits last night.

Hopefully alignment on Sat.

There is a 2014 calendar on their site: http://www.rockinthewaterfront.ca/

Looks like June 26th is "GM Pontiac Night".

My dad sent me this last week from an email he got on the 3rd.

Hi All,
Some of you might be aware that one of our 'brothers' in the Classic Car fraternity suffered a terrible blow recently. John Booth, organizer of the weekly 'Rockin' the Waterfront' cruise night at Pier 4 in Hamilton, was involved in a serious crash while returning from Florida last month. John was only slightly injured, but his wife of 53 years died of her injuries the following day.
Obviously, John will be unable to take the reigns at the cruise night for some weeks and the co-sponsoring clubs, of which we are one, have been asked to step up with some volunteers.
The cruises take place every Thursday evening, at the beautiful Pier 4 Park at the foot of John Street in Hamilton (weather permitting). Volunteering need not be a huge commitment, and can be as little as assisting in parking while the regular helpers take a hot-dog break. Half an hour with a flag in your hand will make all the difference!
The cruises start this Thursday, 5th June, and the website is: http://www.rockinthewaterfront.ca/index.html.
Pier 4 Park is a very scenic spot and attendance often exceeds 300 cars.
Please help out if you can!
Regards,
John Griffith, Chair
British Saloon Car Club of Canada

PIER 4 in Hamilton, is going on strong every Thursday as scheduled in case anyone is interested.

I will try and hit it at least once this season!

I'm thinking of hitting Pier 4 this Thursday if it looks like the 30% chance of rain they're currently calling for does not materialize or is not local..
...i'll check the 4cast again the day of...

anyone else thinking of it?

I gotta hit it at least ONCE this season!
