Show housekeeping stuff:

Rain date will be the next day, Sunday..
...& only if this Saturday is a complete washout.
A little sprinkle won't stop us!

I will try to snag the eastern most parking area of the park, & it's across
the street from the hooters restaurant lol.

Please indicate on the voting at the top here so i can gauge
number of cars/peeps coming.

I'm currently planning the cruise portion of the day, departing the park venue at 3pm.
It'll be quite picturesque & a nice drive for sure!
i have a couple of neat pix stops included & some leaves are already turning!

We can start prepping & topping up our fuel tanks at around 2pmish.
I do suggest topping up on fuel at a station before arriving at the park
in the morning.

Whoever has frs radios, feel free to bring them for use on the cruise.
Channel & subchannel will be the date: 9-16.
and/or we can exchange cell #s the day of..this is in case we get separated
during the cruise, but I'll stop aside as usual if we do.

There are gas stations off the hwy 400 exits towards the park.

If all this happens on Sunday instead of Saturday, we'll bump up the cruise about an hour
to 2pm so people can depart for home a little earlier.

Sorry, i don't have time this year for door prizes/goody bags, so it'll
be more if a get2gether & cruise. Hope you don't mind y'all!

Cool all.

Weather is supposed to be warm & sunny..time to break out the shorts again me thinks!

Now, i had a no start after stalling on the road today so
I'm troubleshooting whether it was an intermittent connection, bad battery, sudden mystery drain or even alternator...

(It was a weird one as car was sitting about a month, started up ok this morning, got gas, was driving for a while and then ...quit!
no restart with my lithium power pack but with caa's big brute booster,
It fired up right away. Tried it again about 20min later...nada!... Hmmm)

So...Worst case scenario i may be fieroless but will have my gtp instead...
to be continued but looking forward to seeing everyone!

Take the battery out and go get it tested. If it runs fine after boosting the car, it's working off the alternator at the time. May have a dead cell in the battery. CAA should have done a battery test for you on the spot.

You should know the GTP battery is too big to fit in a Fiero, you had one of them too.

LOL

I recharged the battery and it took charge. I load tested it at home and it tested weak for its rated cca rating. I swapped in a good spare battery I had and installed a cutoff switch for when the car sits for a while.....will drive it again tomorrow with this battery... along with tools, power packet etc!

still need to see if there's any abnormal draw/overcharging...

check your cars today folks! (;
