Hello world!
I bought my first Fiero last November from a forum member Tim (I forget his screen name and I think he deleted his ad after I bought the car). The car is a 1985 2m4 notchback with a Quad 4 swap, blown head gasket and frozen parking brakes. All for the princely sum of c$500!
Price and exchange rate are major considerations for me as I bought it to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports $2018 Challenge. So I have a budget of u$2,018 (sort of - some items like first set of tires are exempt) to buy and prepare a car for an automotive triathlon: autocross, drag, and concourse (again sort of - less show and shine and more explain what and why you did).
My build log is here [revised link]
https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum ... 679/page1/My progress so far has been to drop the motor. Now to get into the motor and figure out if it is just a head gasket or if there is more to it. Once I get the beast able to move under its own power I will start gutting and parting out everything not needed to get it to start; stop and pass safety at the track. Any proceeds are added back to my budget up to the car’s purchase price as it can’t be any better than free under Challenge rules.
I will be posting here (in the for sale section) and on Pennock so let me know if there is anything in particular that you need.
Thomas
