Yes, I am a little old lady driving a Fiero, specifically a black, 1985 6 cyl one with ~41,000 km. The headlight engines for the flippy covers (the really, REALLY important reason for buying the car) don't work any more. Long story. Somewhere in this forum (Bless you, thumper) someone said that Joe the Fiero guy is at engineeredautomotive so I emailed them to see if this is true. If I can get the frog lights fixed, I'll keep the car. Honestly, I get wolf whistles from teen aged boys. It's a hoot. But I wish there was somewhere closer. I live in central Toronto.

Hello there & welcome to the forum.
Hope you have luck contacting Joe, only way we keep in touch now has been facebook.

Other sources for the parts to rebuild the motors are Rodney Dickman:
http://rodneydickman.com/catalog/produc ... cts_id=230

or the Fiero Store:
http://www.fierostore.com/Product/Detai ... &d=273&p=1

If you buy the kit, I'm sure someone here locally could help out rebuilding the motors. 8-)

Welcome Jane!
That's a nice sounding car. If it's just the headlight motors that are the problem at 41,000kms that's great.

I wonder how central you are, maybe I have a Fiero neighbour. I'm in Avenue and Eglinton area.

I am now the proud owner of a whole bunch of rebuild parts for Gen 1 headlight motors. I have one that I rebuilt, but looks like the limit switch is having a problem (or it might just be the relay). I also have a brand new, still in the package Rodney Dickman aluminium gear rebuild kit that I was saving in case the 2nd motor went on me. Let me know if you're interested, I will be ordering the rebuild kits now for my Gen 2 headlights.
