Hmm, x-thumpr-x I'm doing my 3800 swap over this winter.
I believe Since my 88GT is a Auto I am suppose to use the outer axel parts from a standard Fiero instead of the auto outer axels from my car? Am I correct here?
The standards I guess are thicker or stronger then the auto axels?
If I’m right aren’t all the outer axel parts the same for all years and all the standard cars no matter what engine it had or type or standard transmission?
Most auto wreckers throw the cars right on the ground so you can't really get at the underside this appears to be on top of another car, maybe Saturday i could go there and get them off? Looks like the rear is in ok shape from the one side I see in your pic.
My car:
88 GT Auto,
Swap Engine 2007 series 3 3800 NA
Using the HD Auto Trans from 2007 SC Grand Prix GT.

I believe the out tulips are needed for the reason that they will fit in the Fiero knuckles where the auto axels from your swap car have a larger diameter tulip on them (34mm nut). I beieleve the axel nuts for the Fiero are 30mm, so if you're going for the axels, remember to bring a big socket for that nut. :D

Great Let me guess that nut turns with the wheel so breaking it lose isn't gonna happen.

tail lights looked OK

Stick the car in 1st gear and hope it holds, maybe pray the e-brake works as well. I use an electric impact gun to remove those nuts, come off easily in or out of gear. 8-)

I was there today.
Took the sail panels, shift knob and the decklid vents.

Tried to get the front sway bar off and the calipers but they were rusted on pretty good.
Dash id cracked. Switches are discolored.
Power mirrors are great and the switch/plate is in great cond.

Still alot of salvageable parts on there...if you have the right tools. I wanted the headlight assemblies but couldnt get at them and I was freezing my ass off.

The sail panels along with every pc of glass on the car and tail lights, have the VIN # embossed on them...weird.

Here are a couple more pics...
