Hey folks

been a while, hope a few old timers are still lurking

I decided to buy Duane's old car today- it was dropped off and seems to run great so far. Hopefully I have better luck with this car than the last one- though I do expect (being a 30 year old, modified car) that it will have its' challenges

Look forward to going for a cruise on occasion,

Here is the build thread for anyone not familiar with it. Car has had no km put on it in the last 6 years, so it looks exaclty the same

Welcome back ya bugger!

Send me your new cell #. I just texted what I had and was told it was your old cell.

Looks like we'll be doing a few more cruises this year. A few of us pretty active on a whatsapp group chat, let me know of you want to connect to it and I can add you once I have your cell.

Hey Pete, great to see you back with a Fiero. Now if spring would actually happen we might be able to get these things on the road!

Hey Jeff

you are still lurking?? Haven't even seen your 87 yet.

Car looks exactly the same as when Duane built it- it literally sat in a climate controlled garage for the last 5-6 years with no plates. Fortunately the car seems to run fine with some fresh gas and a battery charge. Will post some pics once I get it plated. Sounds mean..... though I will probably remove the giant tail pipes and put something a little more conservative in place.... Unlike Duane, I don't need to "compensate" by having huge tail pipes!!!!  He said he will kill me if I replace the tail pipes!!! So it will be our little secret ;)

I can't fully tell from the pictures, but what size pully and injectors are on that motor?

Sorry, I have no clue. It will take me a while to learn the details about the car. Read the build thread- I am sure it is in there somewhere. I will change the 6 year old oil today, since it really bothers me to have it in this engine... ;)

Will get it certified and plated in the coming weeks and start getting acquainted with it. Duane has been kind enough to offer advice and info when I need it, and if I can figure out how to electronically archive the build thread on my hard drive, I should have plenty of info available for years to come.

I missed it, it is in one post.

2.6 is a bit of a small supercharger pully on there for all of the mods, I would recommend getting a 2.8 or 2.9 pully to replace it with. The 42.5 injectors should be able to handle the fuel requirements.

This is assuming he left the 2.6 on there, as that was early in the thread.
