I'm looking at tire/wheel options for my '85 GT. Does anybody have any suggestions? I want something that will make a bit of a 'statement', but I don't want anything that's too flashy. Really my only preference is that the wheels only have a single bolt pattern. The ones I have now have two, and I never really liked having the extra 5 holes in the wheels.

You can start looking at options here, and these guys are Canadian. If you find something you like, check local stores if anyone carries it.

OR you're close to these guys in Cambridge. You don't have to do their rental program.

Ahhh... So many to chose from. Maybe I'm just a '5 spoke traditionalist' but these ones caught my eye:

or going away from the traditional (Although I couldn't confirm if they have these in 5x100, search doesn't like me):

when using 1010tires website, just use 1990 sunbird/ cavalier. They have the same bolt pattern. I personally like these, but like you said, dual bolt pattern.

I've always liked the ASA AR1:

Had a set on my BMW E46 and now a set on my Outback. Someone here has a staggered set on his fastback. They are pretty reasonably priced too (even with shipping).

Tire Rack has them - nice thing about their website is you can view rims on your car (although they only appear to have a notchie for a Fiero).

if you go 15's I've got some lightly used rubber for ya :-)
I also like the more 5-spoke look, but those black dual-5 Fast ones would look nice on your red ride.

I think I am going to go with the Fast dual 5 spokes.... now just to figure out what tires to get. The ones on the car now are 215/45/17s, and I kinda like that profile. Having a look around, I'm thinking the tires are going to cost me about as much as the rims will, so I guess around $1,200 or so plus taxes for everything (Plus probably $200 for incidentals like lugs/adapters). How does that fare compared to anybody else who replaced theirs recently?

I was driving back from the Milton GO station today after work. Coming up on the tracks and a train stopped traffic. What are the odds I was right by the store where I bought the tires and wheels for my Grand Prix? I took it as a sign. Pulled in, got the Fast Reverbs (17x10) and a set of Michelin Sport A/S Plus. Total price $1,395 plus tax. According the Fast site, the wheels have to be 'custom machined' and take 10 days to get in. Oh well, I should have them on by the 12th of July!
