Opened my deck lid tonight to do a shift cable 'adjustment', and it appears the local squirrels have either run out of space in their nests or have become really desperate for good hiding spots for chestnuts.... the one I found in the cowl of the Grand Prix was weird, but this one is just out there!

I had a 1999 328i years ago equipped with a plastic engine cover over the intake. When doing plugs one day I pulled off the cover only to find mice (I'm assuming) had created a multi-room complex between the intake pipes with insulation from the garage walls. And this had been going on for a few years as I recognized the fibreglass pink from the old house then their last "addition" was constructed with yellow fibreglass from the then-new house. It actually looked like an overhead of an apartment - even had sunflower shells in only one room (aka kitchen). And this car was garaged always.

Little animals can be quite resourceful.

YUP. I have 2 live traps in the garage & have caught about 10 mice in the last couple of years...just picked up an ultrasonic repeller recently too...we'll see how that works.

I have the ultrasonic in my garage as well, but still managed to find one in there. Don't know what to do about the squirrels though, they're sneaky!

I've got the ultrasonics in my shop but I think the mice must be wearing ear plugs or muffs!!!! :D

Darn animals! I cut a Suzuki Samurai frame in half (long story) for a project. You should've seen all the dog kibble that came out! At least a few kilo's for sure.
