Got the suspension all bolted on and the wheels installed, so far so good, wanted to grab some 10mm ball joints for the sway bar end links but the business isn't open this week......mounted the inner tie rods and ball joints to the mustang 2 steering rack, I was able to make the inner tie rods at the proper dimension with some threaded rod and spacers, but in using the mustang rack the Fiero tie rods are about 2 inches too short, but since I have the correct m14x1.5" threaded rod it shouldn't be hard to lengthen them with some metal tubing and some creative TIG welding. Lastly went by a wrecking yard to get the proper horizontal distance from the ball joint to the center of the steering rack for an ion/cobalt (since the steering knuckles are from this car I need to keep that dimension, not the Fiero one), tomorrow I hope to start the mounting of the steering rack and steering column.

Check the blog for pics, unfortunately I didn't take any pics of the rack since it wouldn't be impressive till it was mounted

If I can make it work without letting it go I will, just not sure right now. Also it's the worst possible time to try and sell it so there a good chance it will still be here come spring.

gen V blower
N* tb and adapter
60# in injectors (pending)
3.0" pulley (pending)
HP Tuners mpvi pro
3.5" intake
Sub housing, tang band, amp

Need:
LQ4 maf
Fuel logs or modified rail
To install and tune all of the above
Wideband

Might:
Full stack I/C
F23 swap
Front mount battery
Koni Reds

Pops white 87 3800sc have:

Zzp ported tb
MPs with 3.4 and 3.2
Glove box
88 cradle

Need:

Strut adapters (I already did konis and coilovers years ago)

speaking of wetness..

I tried starting her up yesterday .., looked like a good case of "not tonight, honey" 'cause today she fired up on command. ;) Felt real good getting that Fiero leg stretching. must have been all that moisture in the air...

had a sheet metal fabricator look over the car and says he can cut out the metal to rebuild it. Says it doesn't look bad at all, not the worst case he's ever seen.

Started working on this lower rail, only the bottom side was rotted away

Word of advise, don't let your car sit in a field, put a tarp or plywood underneath it. All the work previously done has started to rot away and more that was just fine 5 years ago. :(

Damn thats dirty.....but I think mine had it beat.

Good luck with the repairs.

Update with mine, I'm starting to mount smaller items, EVAP canister, fuel tank, meth tank, coolant lines, rad, fuel filler, etc etc etc.......going to be a little while though, never did the full mock up of these parts and they might require some "adjustment"
