Found this at The Fiero Store

What are your thoughts on this, guys? seems pricey at $645, however the description is mighty convincing. Got an '85 se , and i've read the older fiero's lack that stability the newer models had.

cheers

Bumpsteer is a real phenomena. As the suspension on any given wheel travels up or down it moves through an arc. The wheel uprite( Knuckle) is oriented laterally by the tie rod. The arc of the lower control arm/uprite and the effect of the tie rod results in a steering input to wheel as it travels up or down from it's neutral position at rest.
The Fiero Store bump steer kit minimizes the steering input by matching the pivot point of the tie rod with that of the lower control arm and acting parrallel to the lower control arm. There are other kits, and some have tried welding a new tie rod attachment point closer to the LCA bushing, shortening and rethreading the tie rod in an attempt to acheive the same as the HELD Kit.

What most Fiero drivers attribute to bump steer is nothing more than operating a Fiero with worn, sloppy 30 year old suspension parts.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THE BUMP STEER KIT UNTIL YOU HAVE REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS, TIE ROD ENDS, AND ALL SUSPENSION BUSHINGS, STRUT CONTROL BUSHINGS, AS WELL AS, THE CRADLE BUSHINGS.
