I've had at least 10 people give me shit for not having a pig roast in 2014..... so here is what I am thinking

We do the dead animal thing in my backyard again, but book a cruise prior to the BBQ. Maybe through downtown Barrie by the lakeshore, up through Shanty Bay, hop on Hwy 11 and go south, and end up in the south end of Barrie (Mapleview) for a group photo. It is too early for dates (likely late June/early Jul, but I just want to get a feel for how many people are interested. We can also do a parts swap by my place, and anyone who wants to drink and not worry about driving can put up a tent in my place. We can have a camp fire or maybe burn a Fiero out of tradition, and roast marshmallows!

I'm in Pete. If I can help let me know.

Before setting a date it might be worth avoiding the Pan Am event dates in July - beyond the traffic issues for guys coming up from the city, we'll have it up here at Hardwood Hills and a shooting club in Innisfil.

Ooh, I get to pitch a tent in Pete's back yard! Wow, that didn't sound too gay. Lol. I'm interested in this gathering as well. I'll be watching for the date.

Don't worry Shayne... I am fully aware of your "tendencies".... I did see a Chevy Monza in your backyard. I bet it is rocking a 1970's 8 track player of Bee Gees songs......with the super tight disco pants.

To each their own my friend.... though you do live very close to the Schneider Sausage Factory. Coincidence??? hmmmmmm :D

Count me in for sure, the bat mobile always enjoys visiting its previous owner who just let it sit in his driveway deprecating in value.... ;) oh wait that's how I ended up being able to afford her in the first place!
I can help out as well since I'm close by,just let me know.

PERHAPS INSTEAD of a big pig/animal roast, just get everyone to ptch in 5-10 bux & do a bbq, burgers/chicken etc to keep it simple.

we can do a potluck too (esp if our maids are attending!)

I'm also thinking of organizing a casual non-judged/fiero only show/gathering perhaps in august....tba!

Actually Nick has a good idea there...this way if people can't make it the food will be easier to re-purpose than a big ol pig carcass. :)

I was thinking the same thing. The pig roast is fun, but a lot more hassle than a BBQ, and fankly not a great value for what it costs. If everyone is happy with a BBQ, I will just do burgers, hot dogs, corn, salads, that kind of stuff. Definitely a lot less hassle

Try for early June or after the games in July/ August; burgers makes total sense, less effort/hassle for you and still excellent grub/sit around food.

The end of June beginning of July is booked up with the GM Nationals at Carlisle, PA and Classics on Kent in Lindsay for 4-5 of us . I know Adam, myself and the 2 cars I built/ do mechanical support for ...Mitch and my dad haha ... will probably be joining us at those two shows.

I cant wait for the season to start, it has been too long!
