I am having issues with starting my 2.8/3.4 fiero cold, can start but takes several tries and when it finally starts idle is erratic up and down and stalls until engine is warm then idle is ok and car starts easier. I have already changed the iac and the ecm cts. Fuel pump works also changed fuel filter but never did a fuel pressure test. Is there anyone or a fiero specific mechanic in the east end that can help me with this issues.

try Adam, x-thumpr-x on here...also check your ign system too; connections, icm, ign coil, cap & rotor etc...to rule those things out

Have you checked the IAC for carbon buildup/dirt?

Thanks for the replies, the iac is new even though the old one was good and cleaned , I did notice an improvement after cleaning grounds with better results but still takes two full cranks of 5sec tries before it catches. I will be checking the rotor and distributor next as I think it is possibly the icm.

Hello, we've had this I issue with another fiero the past year. Still can't find the cause. Maybe you and a friend can get together and come up with a solution between the two of you. ;)
