It's been a fun 13 years with my 87 GT. First fastback I've owned, 4th Fiero of 11 I've bought. It was a good run but like most Ontario cars, she had Cancer and it spread. I found out how bad it spread when I did the body off paint job. If I had the time and money, I would have done this swap then on a new frame but time wasn't on my side and had to look for a new chassis. With all the mods I've done and collected the past year, I didn't want an 88 frame. Too much hassle to rework everything so I found another 87 GT chassis to rebuild mine onto. So over the winter I will be busy rebuilding, modifying and improving the new GT for spring. 8-)

New chassis to bring back to storage and start the rebuild onto. I brought it home while I was stripping the GT.

After seeing this car in Waterloo two years ago, I would've never suspected the rust that laid beneath. The car looked so nice. Good luck with the rebuild.

Wow thats a lot of work. I take it you are scrapping the green frame and rebuilding using the red one?

I'm using my own custom version Zettners Big brake upgrade. Lebaron rotors, caddy rear calipers, s-10 front calipers, big bore master (1 1/8), adapter plates, Buick e-brake cables with small extension so calipers sit in there normal upright postion and cables go over the axles, S.S. braided brake lines. Next addition will be a bigger booster.

Driving around the 3800 last couple of weeks really drive home the under-braking condition of our cars big time! Didn't notice it so much on Blu, but ramping the power up and I'm really mindful of what dangers lurk in the general vicinity.
