Picked up an '86 SE that is modified with a GT clip that a previous owner lowered too much for use. What's involved with restoring the clearance?

Probably as simple as installing a new set of springs.

I will have a set of springs off an 87GT when I'm done with the frame. Might still have a set on the shelf too if they never got thrown out in last scrape metal run.

Yes I am interested in getting the springs but I have never done this before. Any special tools required?

Looking for a Fiero friendly mechanic in Scarborough area who can do this work. I also have an 88GT that I want lowered. Any suggestions on a reliable person is appreciated.

88 uses different stock springs then the 84-87 models. how was the 86 lowered? eibachs, suspension techniques or coil-overs? or did he just cut the springs?
