hey Everyone,

I am saddened to say that the lower end of my engine is knocking and needs to be rebuilt. Is there anyone here that is experienced in that and how approximately how much am i looking at for something like that? Option 2 is the instal a 3800sc if not much of a price difference as this is the time to do it. Any input would be great?

Thanks
Shayne

Just my 2 cents worth, but if you're going to have to pull the engine, and you're even considering a 3800sc swap, this is definitely the time to do it. The next time mine needs any major work, even a clutch replacement, I'm going the 3800 route.

if you remove the block and take it to a shop, you're looking at roughly $1200-$1500 to get it profesionally rebuilt.
