Wondering how all of you have mounted your ECM in the stock location. I did a search on PFF and it seems that most say they've just left it stuck in behind the glove box. Any comments? Can't wait to get the car back together, but I want to do it right, because once it's back together, I know I won't take it apart again until the next project requires it :D

Don't leave it there. My crappy swap has the PCM in the stock location. It is a stupid place to put it- it runs far hotter than the Fiero ECM and you can really feel the heat in the driver's seat

Better to leave it in the firewall in the engine compartment

I'd have to agree with Pete, inside the engine bay compartment is the best location for it. GM designed it to originally sit inside the stock air intake systems on 3800 (S/C or non) powered cars.

How tough is it to get all the wiring through the firewall and into the engine bay? Any suggestions on how to hang it once it's in there? I saw a post on PFF somewhere that showed a mounting bracket, I'll see if I can dig it up.
