I'm in need of new brakes on my '85 GT, and thinking about getting new rotors. The ones I have look pretty much stock. I see eBay is crawling with drilled and/or slotted rotors for around $150 - $200. Any advice on good ones? Are slotted/drilled rotors actually good or is it all about looks? Not that looks are a good thing :D

drilled & slotted rotors work well as long as you get the right pads to go with them. If you buy pads that wear very fast and have a lot of brake dust residue, they will clog you the all the holes in the rotors.

Most of the ones on eBay come with pads, but I would think for the price they're charging, the pads are probably cheap crap. I'm thinking of getting the rotors for the ~$200 and then get decent pads from my regular parts store. I think I can get a decent set of front and rear for just over $100.

Now that u have the 3.8 in there, I would recommend getting bigger brakes/brake upgrade...you'll need the stopping power :D
