On the Halton Hills Wild & Wacky Fun Run the rear right strut broke .
Machined up the end on both sides and back on the road today .

netcam your rear trunk supports don't work to good . Same thing with mine .
Here is what i did a piece of pcv tube that jams the support when opened .

Sorry to hear about the strut . Good idea with the strut fix, what size PVC did you get, and where?

I used 1/2" electric conduit .You will have to unscrew the end and slip the tube in.
It is just long enough to jam in there . One side only

never seen either of the issues you've had. I used to have one strut also, princess auto one and it led up just fine. I've since switched to Rodney's dual strut decklid set up, never really like the idea on one strut, the decklid would sit a little lopsided when open.
