Putting together my list of upgrades to do over the winter, and think doing the air intake would be a good thing to get out of the way. I've seen a few pictures, but nobody seems to have written up how to make one. Found a post for a place that makes the needed parts, but my guess is it won't be economical to get parts from anyplace in the States. Has anybody put their own together that can point me in the right direction?

Here's the place for parts:

My air intake is made of 3" white plumbers pvc pipe(thin wall). Bought some 45 & 30 degree bends and just fabbed up my own. Need to take your tire & wheel well liner out and just cut & paste it together literally. After it dries for a day, make sure you wipe it down lightly with paint thinner or turpentine then give it a few coats of black paint. I just used Tremclad fast dry. 8-)

Sounds easy enough, but 3"? That in my head sounds a lot smaller than what I would have expected. What did you use for a filter?

I'm using a K&N filter on my set-up, used to have a cheap ractive that did the same job. Switched over trying to find my whistle source when I upgraded to my 65mm T/B. 3" tubing is sufficient for my set-up, not sure about yours. You don't have any power adders other then stock S/C, check out Grand Prix forums and see what size of pipe they are running for their cars.
