I think I might have posted this before, but does anybody know any shop where I can get POR15 or any other type of black chassis paint, maybe something you have used in the past and had good luck with? Location where to get, etc?

The Fierion is going to soda blasting shortly, going to be throwing some paint on the chassis, very exciting time!!!!!

Hawkes Auto is a distributor for Eastwood products.
They carry Por15 and other good paint products.

Rick & Luke got their POR 15 from a place in Ajax of Westney rd just south of Bayly. I know where the store is, just not the name of it. Right beside it is a used tire shop, On the Rim again.

This guy has moved shop. :(

The best place to get auto body paint supplies is BHR automotive, 215 Rivermede Rd. They supply to the auto body shops, open to the public they have everything and much cheaper than Crappy tire.

I had a talk with my body guy recently about POR-15 and he advised me to stay away from it. If you get a perfect adhesion, you're ok, but he said 9/10 times it doesn't stick quite right, traps moisture underneath, and then peels right off leaving a worse mess than before. He highly recommended paying a bit extra for a good epoxy that'll stick really good, and leave a finish as tough as nails. He did recommend a specific product but I can't remember for the life of me what it was. I'd recommend talking to a body guy if you have one or know someone you trust in that field and see what they recommend.

Por 15 is only as good as the surface it is applied to, as like every paint, it will only stick to whatever it sees.
If it's a perfectly clean surface it will be fine, but ANY corrosion, moisture, dirt, rust scale, you name it, that is all the adhesion you will get.
And the ramifications of a bad coating can only make things worse as it will just hold the bad stuff in there.
I'm not a fan.
FWIW. ;)
