Hi guys

This was before I changed the slave cylinder,i doubt that is a cause of problem in any form.

I notice if I drive higher into 3 or more rpm without holding the gear shifter it will pop out and grind. I think it happened to second at one point too. Does something need adjusting? tightening? I understand the synchromesh is responsible for containing the gears in its slot. It's very easy to pop out first gear and second, without clutching. I am new to manual transmission, I just know basics.

With synchros they usually cause problems going into gears when they are worn not so much falling out of gear. I would also check to make sure the shifter cables are in good shape moving freely in and out of gears and check for broken tranny mounts to start with and go from there. Could just be a case of the cables are not set up and you are not fully going into gear

You may need to adjuster the cables on the tranny, may not have it lined up properly

Third vote for adjuster cables. Was happening frequently on mine until I fine-tuned the throw. Of course every gear has its own range so it's a bit of give and take until you get it right. Mine was 3rd gear as well (probably not that coincidentally).
