Finally took the car on the highway and let 'er rip, but ever since the car has sounded like hell. Anything other than an exhaust leak that this sound could be?

And this is at pretty much normal throttle

Sounds like an exhaust leak. best way to check is start her up cold and quickly run your hand around the exhaust to feel for the air leaking out before the pipes get too hot. Dan

Well the sound is getting worse. I took the car to Midas to see what they could find. Although there is a warped flange on the rear manifold, that's the least of my problems. The sound is coming from inside. I put a stethoscope on it while they had it up on the hoist, and there's a really bad knocking that is coming from inside the motor. It seems to be loudest around the number 1 cylinder, and louder up toward the top of the block vs. the oil pan. I'm now thinking spun main bearing, loose connecting rod, or a long shot maybe the timing chain. Here's a quick video if anybody wants to have a listen.

That is not good at all, wasn't that engine supposed to be rebuilt by the previous owner with a lot of new parts.

That really sucks, I did not supply the engine but if you can find another engine I will do the change at no cost as warranty for you.
If you want me to find you one I can also do that.

Thanks Dan, I really appreciate that. I've already started looking around, but if you find anything please let me know. Really frustrating to end up here after thinking I pretty much had everything working right :(
