3.4 OHV: Converters are normally supposed to last "the life of the car". Appeared OK before 8 year storage. Idles OK but no acceleration. Fuel pressure ok, new injectors, timing OK. I suspect converter. Any comments?? Subject to responses, I will try an exhaust pressure test ($90 meter).

I should add: glowing red headers at idle.

Mine used to do that as well (running rough, glowing headers). I believe way-back-when I attributed to a wiring issue to the O2 sensor causing what I believe to be a lean condition (Pennocks'). I should add, I have a refreshed 2.8 with custom exhaust from cat-back.

Yes a clogged cat can do this but also a very lean condition will as well which can be a bad O2 as mentioned or failing injector or even a small exhaust leak in the wrong spot

If it's been in storage for 8 years, I would look at the exhaust system. Might want to remove the cat, there may be a nest in there by now. Won't be the first time I've seen some critters make a home in the exhaust system. There's a chance the honeycomb inside the cat has come loose after all this time and is now blocking the air flow.
