I'm at a 2x installation on Blu. Using the 2-sided tape, the driver's side front top lip keeps pulling away. Rather this time round on the whole guitar-wire take off procedure, I was thinking of maybe trying out something like PL Caulking. Any thoughts or recommendations?

did you use the proper 3m tape? Mine hasn't come off since it's been installed.

You can use a tube of the windshield adhesive think it is called Butyl or some thing like that but it is a permanent adhesive not some thing you can easily remove down the road I used it on a fast back years ago that had the scoops in that location

#1 lasted 3 years. It came up in the top left corner and eventually the driver window caught the edge and cracked it. #2 replacement lasted 2 months before it started to part ways with the frame in the exact same place. I made sure was all the existing tape was removed and cleaned beforehand. Not sure why the trouble in the exact same location. There is though a lot of wind in that area so if it is going to pull away, that would be where.

I have a set of NOS GT quarter windows as well... but I am terrified of mounting them since it seems so easy to do it wrong and have them fly off. I am pretty sure I would never be able to find another OEM set.
