Up for sale is my just finished 88 Formula with its 2003 SSEi 3800SC and 02 Cavalier F23, car is a southern car in near mint shape with many, many new parts installed.
Engine had 156,000 when pulled and now has all new gaskets, oil pump and timing chain installed, tranny had 98,000 km on it and is in great shape, clutch is brand new SPEC stage 3, both shift and select cables are also new. Car has full poly installed with new ball joints, tie rods as well. Body is in great shape with a few paint chips and some fading, interior is mint with no cracks in dash or rips in seats.
Asking $8,000 but open to reasonable offers.
Also will be finished in a few days and going up for sale my 86 GT fast back with its 97 Park Ave Ultra 3800SC 4T65EHD set up out of a friends wife's car that had 138,000 km when we pulled it. Car is in good shape with a fair bit of faded paint especially rear trunk and spoiler, interior is in good shape as well with great dash but a few small wear points on the seats. Will be looking at around $4500 for this one when finished.
Can email pics to any one interested

I have an interest in the automatic car.

Just how driveable, normal and reliable is it?

I know you guys have been doing these swaps for a while, but are there any inherent headaches associated with it?

I would be looking for a weekend driver/ part time Bracket Racer so what do ya think?

A Park Ave is a fairly heavy car and that trans may have some interesting gearing/FDR.

Do you happen to know what it is?

Thanx

Hoping to have the 86 GT finished by end of weekend at this point all that is left is to build the exhaust run the new tranny lines finish brakes and get some tires and rims as car is on mini spares right now.
Believe they are 296 gears or close to that and the 3800SC Fiero is very reliable especially the ones using the auto that came with the engine, in stock form they are fairly quick around a mid to low 13 sec quarter mile car that gets around 40 mpg when driven sensibly. If you or any one else is interested it is best to email me as I am shutting down the net soon for the move back to Peterborough. dansflyer@live.ca
