Post subject:  OK! I'm looking for a Fiero

The time has come and I have the itch to do some more bracket racing so I am looking at RWD options.

So here we go,

Looking for at least a 3500 or 3.8 automatic swap in better than average condition and ready to go.

Paint I don't care about. Omar can take care of that, but it has to be solid and reliable.

I actually prefer the earlier models, but again, trying to be open-minded.

Have cash in hand, the Beretta is NOT for sale!

Hit me up!! :D

Well then, think you should be looking for an 85 GT or 86/87 SE. That style has the aerodynamics and is lighter then the fastback. Don't think you will find any 3500 swaps around here. I've done a few 3400 swaps and few other people have since, 3800 S/C are the most common. The problem will be finding a solid frame in Ontario. They are out there but you need t be in the right place at the right time. Other option is to build the car you want, find a good frame and go from there. ;)

Just found this, would make a good starting point for a build 8-)

Not looking to build anything at this point.
Heck I will be 65 in a few weeks so it's buy and drive.
When I had the 3500 Beretta I had it well into the mid 13's so looking somewhere in the mid 13 to high 12 second range.

But as stated, they don't grow on trees, LOL!

Any info or ideas I'm open to.

Thanx!

Keep my eyes open. I know someone was building a 3800 swap in Oshawa and gave up on it half way through. He put the car up for sale but don't know if it ever sold.

I'd like to take my 3400 down the track again. Was a consistent 14.2- 14.3 when it was stock. Fiero hasn't been on the track since cam and motor upgrades.

Would help if you put your budget. I may know of a nice 86 for sale with a 3800

Fair enough!

Although I would consider any really good car.

Like to keep it under $6K but that can be flexible. I really don't know what the damn things go for, LOL. :D
