Anyone out here cutting up an '88?
I'm in dire of need one piece. I require the soft, flexible tube/sleeve that covers the steering shaft. The one that goes from the rack to the firewall.
Please let me know if you have one.
Thanks guys.

This one is from an '84-'87. I need the '88 piece.

Marcus / Yamaha,
Do you think the rear cradle would be salvageable?

Thanks,
Thomas

The rear cradle on the junkyard 88 is toast, not much left of it unfortunately. Looks like it was sitting there for a while, I didn't even attempt to remove the calipers, the rear still have the e brake locked on so I bet they are garbage by now rooting away.

That’s unfortunate that the cradel is shot. But the rear spindles would be interesting if earlier axles can bolt into them.

There is no spindles on the rear, but there are knuckles but they only work with the 88 suspension set up.

Uh, your link clearly states the piece was removed from an '86. It is different and will not work. I'll have to get one from the Fiero Farm and get it shipped to me.

Just for fun, I took you link you provided and looked up steering column. It says they have it in stock, so maybe they have the part you need.
